Ray tracing only applies to reflections in photo mode, in the cinematic camera on replays, and some ingame menus. The gameplay experience will be the same in both modes. - Load times are around 40 seconds on PS4 versions, while PS5 needs no more than 2 seconds to start races. - Other visually notable improvements to PS5 are the drawing distance and geometry increase, shadow filtering or ambient occlusion. - The PS5 version also has more public and vegetation. - Very interesting implementation of Dualsense. Feeling the road, the gear changes or the triggers for the pedals make it one of the best experiences with this control. - The framerate has been tested in the most demanding conditions in all 3 versions. Circuits with rain or high graphic load and with 20 vehicles. Neither version can maintain a constant 60fps framerate under these circumstances, but it's acceptable overall. - Ray Tracing, as a personal opinion, is somewhat anecdotal. Spider-Man or Ratchet & Clank have shown a better implementation of this technology. - In general, Gran Turismo 7 meets expectations on all platforms as usual in this series.

Tokyo looks beautiful with RT. - To measure performance on PC, a 3050, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti and 3080 have been used with all settings at maximum. - The HFR Quality mode presents a Ray-Tracing and shadows of lower quality with respect to the standard quality mode. HFR Performance mode also loses quality in the shadows. - In general, the RT on PC has more resolution in reflections compared to PS5. - Ray-Tracing in Quality modes on PS5 and PC is applied to reflections (on certain materials) and shadows cast by specific light sources. - Translucent reflections (glass, showcases, car windows, etc.) are not ray-traced. Ray-traced shadows do not follow a logical pattern. You can find an asset with shadow generated by RT (2:04) and a couple of meters later, that same asset without RT (11:14). - PS5 uses the SSGI system for ambient occlusion, which creates unwanted effects when moving the camera (particularly indoors). Luckily, on PC we can choose between SSGI and SSAO. - The main character does not cast a shadow or reflect on any surface. - The FOV is not modifiable in any version.

    Back in 2016 Konami has brought Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater to completely new platform, giving it a huge graphics overhaul. At the same time fans of the franchise became really annoyed of the fact that the game won't receive a proper console release. Now, few years has passed and in January 2022 awesome guys from ORIGIN Channel have published all the cutscenes captured off-screen in pretty m uch acceptable quality, so I thought it would be interesting to see how do they stack with original. Let's check it out! Disclaimer: Pachislot version has the cutscenes selected and merged into crucial ones only so do not expect to see all 4h long footage. Some of the cutscenes in Pachislot version are in fact original's Codec dialogues transfered into animation of Snake walkinging adown the line - I skipped them in this comparison. I also skipped credits cutscenes - sorry. They could have reached 1440p perfectly. - Series X is undoubtedly the best optimized platform in this game. Series S and PS5 have a good performance, but could be improved.

    Godfall - Xbox Series X|S / PS5 / PC - Graphics & FPS & Power Comparison Series S: 1440P (Quality) / 864P-1080P (Performance) Series X: 2160P (Resolution) / 1440P-2160P (Performance) PS5: 2160P (Resolution) / 1440P-2160P (Performance) PC: 2160P (Epic Settings) - Note that compared with the Xbox only comparison the range for Series X Performance mode has changed. 1800P is not the max but could be seen as the typical, same goes for PS5. Thanks to Мухаммед Али for pointing this out in the previous video. - Note that the slightly higher FPS on Series X|S using Resolution mode can be easily caused by the tearing and Tear miss configuration in Trdrop isn't accounting sufficient for it. Remember: It is still a post-process analysis. - I was able to get 120Hz mode for Xbox working for recording, had some issues with the previous video. FYI: For pixel counts I have to start the game in 1080P120, without closing the game I change the system output back to 4K. This sometimes works, not always. It looks like it is working with this title. Resolution seemed to range from 1080P-1440P. Test method is not ideal but at least we have something to go with. Really need to get a 4K120Hz screen. - Series X 120Hz mode runs at around 100FPS. Note that I will need to accommodate the effect for this edge situations were the counter jumps from 2 to 3 digits. This is on my todo list but will take some time, hopefully for the next 120Hz video. - Looking at power consumption, all three consoles are being pushed to the limits. Power hungry PC is obvious with this hardware configuration. - Series X|S were presenting some tearing on the top of the screen. Tears are represented in the framerate box, left to right represent top to bottom on the original recording. - Loading times all very similar - PC version using RT (shadows) is quite taxing on the systems with drops below 50 - There doesn't seem to be much/any difference between the Performance/Resolution mode for each individual console. It is just been more aggressive with resolution scaling. - Note that resolutions modes are probably still dynamic but I didn't spot it in my counts. The resolution would probably still be close to the ones mentioned. - After my holiday I'll be covering Chernobylite next-gen upgrade, this is my first received codes for a game from a Studio.
