Arkadaşlar gunz ile ilgili bi problemim war . Çözümü buldum . fakat ingilizce . ßenim ingilizcem pek yeterli deil. Türkçe yapabilecek biri warsa yapsın ltfn.
It happened to me when I clicked "Start Game" on the ijji GunZ version. There are a few things you can do that can help you. (: It occurs because (to my knowledge) either your graphics card doesn't support it, or that your graphics card hasn't been properly updated.
1) Firstly, make sure you have DirectX installed, which is easy enough. Download here.
2) If you already have it installed, go start > run > type 'dxdiag' and go to 'display'. In the 'DirectX features' box, make sure all of them are Enabled (i.e. DirectDraw Acceleration and Direct3D Application etc. should be Enabled). Start up GunZ and check if this works.
3) If any of those features have "not available" on them like I had, update your graphics driver by clicking Start > right clicking "My Computer" > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager If you see any devices with yellow question marks beside them, this means it’s missing a driver. You can either use the device wizard to auto install the driver (by double clicking it), or you can manually search it with Google. (: You have to know your specs and exactly what driver you need though; this can be a bit of a chore. You can also scan your computer for outdated drivers using either Driver detective or DriverAgent for free, to find out which drivers you need.
4) If the instructions above don’t work, try to pull your hardware accelerator to full. This can be done through right clicking the desktop > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot. Do Start > run > type 'dxdiag' > Display to check if they are now available.
5) If you still have a problem enabling DirectDraw Acceleration etc., then it may be a problem with NetMeeting (for some odd reason). What you do is start > run > type 'conf.exe' and then install it much like you would do if you were going to use it. Once you have finished installing it, go to Tools > Remote Desktop Sharing > Uncheck the box. Close and run dxdiag again to enable them.
6) If all of them were enabled already, it may still be a problem with your video card. Follow through steps 3 and update your video card.
7) If your video card has already been updated prior to you reading this, do the last-ditch effort attempt and uninstall your video card drivers, reboot, reinstall your video drivers, reboot and try again. Your updates may have been corrupted or incomplete. You can also try and reinstall the ijji GunZ client.
Hope this helps. (:
Edit: If this doesn't work, try the instructions here. (disable firewall/antivirus programs)
